The first session in the Shatan Youth Forum "Rule of Law and Chinese Modernization" in 2024, sponsored by CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law, was held in Beijing on February 27, 2024. In this session, a lecture entitled "Artificial Intelligence Legislation: American and European Practices and the China Solution", was given by Dr. Zhou Hui, an associate research fellow at the Cyber and Information Law Department of CASS Institute of Law. In the lecture, presided over by Mr. Zhang Jingui, head of the Research Coordination and International Cooperation Department of CASS Institute of Law, Dr. Zhou discussed issues relating to the current security risks of artificial intelligence, the current situation of artificial intelligence legislation in the United States and the European Union, and the content and significance of China's Model Law on Artificial Intelligence. The lecture was attended by Professor Xie Zengyi, deputy director of CASS Institute of Law, and some other researchers from CASS Institute of Law and CASS Institute of International Law.
