LI Lin, MA Yinan & ZHANG Yongquan: On Promoting the Spirit of Socialist Rule of Law


Abstract:Promoting the spirit of socialist rule of law is an essential requirement for thoroughly studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law and an integral part of building the rule of law in China with good laws and good governance.It holds significant theoretical, practical, and contemporary importance for building a socialist country under the rule of law at a higher level. We should focus on the key point that the spirit of socialist rule of law is the soul of the rule of law, systematically explain the internal logic and summarized approaches to expression of the concept of the spirit of socialist rule of law, elaborate on fundamental issues regarding promoting the spirit of socialist rule of law, including its theoretical connotation, purpose and essence, categorization of the objects, the subjects involved, methods and pathways, and deepen and expand the jurisprudential understanding of disseminating and promoting the spirit of socialist rule of law by integrating theory with practice. On the new journey, in the process of building a more developed system of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics, promoting theoretical, practical, and methodological innovation in promoting the spirit of socialist rule of law constitutes a crucial measure for implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the Third and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC. This effort helps pool the great strength of the spirit of the rule of law for building a modern socialist country in all respects under the rule of law and contributes Chinese wisdom and solutions to the progress of the civilization of the rule of law in human society.
